Lecturer in Public Health Nursing


 The sucessful applicants will make a significant contribution to the University's teaching and research profile by undertaking teaching across several undergraduate and graduate programmes, conducting research leading to grants and publications, engaging in consultancy and professional projects, and contributing to the further development of the University.

Academic Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Public Health or relevant discipline with a minmum of five (5) years public health practice (PhD. preferred)
  • B.Sc. in Public Health Nursing
  • Certification in Midwifery

 

Additional Requirements

  • Be a registered nurse and a certified midwife with ten (10) years post basic practice.
  • Be engaged in relevant research and community service
  • Be a member of a professional organization.
  • Have an interest in developing services to industry and the public at large.
  • Demonstrate commitment to research and teaching.
  • Show evidence of successful educational practice and innovativeness in teaching strategies for lectures, practicals, small group tutourials, problem-based sessions and e-learning initiatives.
  • Be a problem solver and critical thinker who can implement the existing team of professionals.
